Redskins defensive lineman Adam Carriker recently underwent surgery on his quad.
Washington head coach Mike Shanahan told the media today that he expects Carriker to be out for four to five months.

It sounds like Carriker will be out for the season. There might be a chance he can come back for the playoffs, if the Skins get that far.
