According to the New York Daily News, cornerback Aaron Ross will likely start for the Giants in place of Corey Webster who’s dealing with a hip injury and has been listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Panthers.
What’s really interesting is that Ross didn’t play at all last week against the Broncos after putting together an impressive game against the Cowboys during week one.
“(It’s) the same as it is every week. I go in preparing like I’m a starter,” Ross said. “You never know what’s going to happen; like the first week when Prince (Amukamara) went down and I had to step in and know the plays, know what was going on, know the formations, know what (Tony) Romo likes to do. So I prepare like I’m a starter every week, no matter if I play or not.”
