Aaron Ross picking up right where he left off with the Giants

After spending one disappointing season with the Jaguars, cornerback Aaron Ross is now back with the team that originally drafted him in 2007 and he’s picking up right where he left off in 2011, according to Giants.com.

Rejuvenated by his return to the Giants, Ross hasn’t missed a beat on the field with his coaches and teammates. He’s coming off back-to-back practices with interceptions, including a nifty one on Monday that still had Coughlin talking about it on Tuesday. “He really enjoys being back, and he has a big smile on his face,” the coach said. “He’s worked hard, I like it.”

Ross is not a great player, but he seems to fit well with the Giants and their defensive scheme.  I’m not sure what went wrong in Jacksonville.  Maybe it was because he went from being a Super Bowl champion to losing almost every game.

Well they Over Paid him big time 3 years 15 Million… NY got him for under 800K this year. He isn’t great but he under stands the Giants schemes and you can’t argue with 2 Super Bowl wins. Now Jacksonville had Zero Pass Rush last year and the Corners can’t contain WR’s when the QB can sit in the pocket without being touched.

In NY he had 2 Great D-lines to support him in the playoffs. The Giants could rush 4 guys and get Pressure in Brady’s Rodgers Smith Romo and Favre’s face and then Drop 7 guys into coverage. That makes it very had when a QB has 3 guys maybe 4 to throw to and the defense has 7 guys in coverage and still is creating Pressure.

Last year Big Blue couldn’t get ANY Pressure with the front 4 and what happened the CB’s got beat time and time again. I never can remember a time when the Giants Blitzed so often they had to just to create pressure last.year.

Our secondary is going to be Amazing this year. Thomas our best CB is back from injury Webster only had one bad year and if he can rebound we will have 2 Elite CB’s. If Thomas get’s hurt or Webster can’t rebound The Prince our 1st round pick a few years ago is good enough to start. Ross as you mentioned former 1st rounder also could compete for reps but I see him falling to 4th and playing Nickle or special zone plays. Hosley isn’t big enough to play outside but he is really the best Slot Coverage CB we have. The experts said is Hosley was a few inchs taller he would of been a lock for the best CB in the draft but he makes for a perfect slot CB.

We haven’t had a secondary this good in a long time!!! Don’t forget Stevie Brown got a chance last year and came away with 8 Int’s and Rolle is still a solid Saftey would can play both safety positions and CB if needed. The D-line will be fine Tuck is in a contract year so he won’t be taking plays off like last year and is finally healthy. Kiwi is good enough to start at DE if JPP misses a game or two. He is the perfect replacement for Osi.

Look at it this way JPP can afford to miss 2 games. Why Dallas Week 1 just lost starting DE Anthony Spencer for the year ACL. So they are down a pass rusher. Denver week 2 lost starting Elvis Dumerville the team accidentally cut him and Baltimore grabbed him. Denver’s BEST Pass Rusher Von Miller just got SUSPENDED for 4 weeks. So Denver is down there Top 2 Pass Rushers from last year. The Playing field is even if JPP misses a game or two. Now having JPP back would be GREAT but as I said Dallas & Denver are already short 3 of there 4 top pass rushers from last year. I want JPP back for the Broncos so Eli can beat Big Brother and with knowing they are a pass first team… NY can come up with plenty of way’s to get JPP and Kiwi rushing from the DE outside and slide Tuck into DT and rush up the middle to keep Manning off his game.
