Aaron Rodgers plays only one series against Seahawks

Week three of the NFL preseason is widely regarded as a “dress rehearsal” for the start of the regular season. The starters for each team usually play at least one half of each game in preparation for week one.

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers broke this trend, however, when Rodgers played only a single series against the Seahawks, going 4-7 for 41 yards and leading Green Bay on a field goal drive.

Rodgers and Coach Mike McCarthy must have felt Rodgers didn’t need the extra preseason reps, and the fact that Rodgers is on a 7 year, $130+ million contract means that the Packers will be careful with how much risk they put him at in meaningless preseason games.
