As we get closer to the start of the 2012 NFL draft on Thursday, Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.net has indicated the San Francisco 49ers are showing a lot of interest in Stanford tight end Coby Fleener.
If the 49ers are really serious about drafting Fleener they’ll likely have to take him in the first round, since he’s expected to drop into the second round.
Another team that’s interested in Fleener, is the Indianapolis Colts who would love to take him in the second round. But unfortunately for them, he likely won’t be available when they’re on the clock. The Colts also have more pressing needs then the tight end position, as they transition on defense from a 4-3 to a 3-4.
