According to Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com, 49ers running back Brandon Jacobs suffered a left knee injury during tonight’s preseason game against the Texans and ended up being carted off to the locker room.
“Running back Brandon Jacobs was helped off the field after sustaining a left knee injury on his first carry of the 49ers’ exhibition game Saturday against the Houston Texans.
“Texans defensive back Kareem Jackson hit Jacobs’ left knee while it was planted in making a first-quarter tackle. Jacobs remained on the ground for several minutes. Coach Jim Harbaugh and trainer Jeff Ferguson assisted Jacobs off the field.
“Jacobs was taken from the sideline to the locker room in a cart,” reported Maiocco.
