Tony Gonzalez believes the Falcons can turn things around

Tony Gonzalez is playing some great football, unfortunately it takes more than him to win football games. The Falcons who many predicted as an NFC contender have a big number 4 in the loss column 5 games in to the season. Gonzalez however believes that there is still hope for the Falcons.

“I’m not going to sit here, what are we going to do? Sit here and feel sorry for ourselves? I’m not going to throw my hands up and say the season’s over,” Gonzalez said, via Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com. “We still have a lot of football left to play, and I’m going to believe.-ProFootballTalk.com

The road to the playoffs is getting much easier now that the Falcons have possibly lost Julio Jones for the season. The Falcons haven’t been playing bad this season, all of their losses have been by a TD or less, but close doesn’t cut it. The Falcons need wins and will need to prepare for a run this bye week. Even if the Falcons win their remaining games they will have a 12-4 record which doesn’t assure them a playoff spot.
