The double edged sword that is Robert Griffin III mobility has been the talk of Washington DC. On one hand it is possibly his most dynamic attribute, on the other it has been the cause of emotional and physical pain for him and the team leading to an ACL injury last season. He is however learning to use his surroundings to his advantage in hopes of minimizing risk.
“It’s hard to walk that line and you’ve always got to try to protect yourself,” he said. “The sideline is your friend and you can get out of bounds at the sideline, but a lot of defensive players, they just really don’t care. Sometimes they’re going to still get that hit on you.”-Redskins.com
I do believe that RGIII has the abilities to eventually develop in to a good pocket QB in time but he is such a more versatile and exciting player when he can take the ball himself.
