Redskins likely to bring in Doug Williams

The Washington Redskins are bringing in former QB Doug Williams. Redskins fans shouldn’t fret, it isn’t as an insurance policy for RGIII or Kirk Cousins. Williams is likely going to be brought in in a front office role.

According to Mark Maske of the Washington Post, it appears likely that former quarterback Doug Williams is about to join the front office in some capacity.

“There’s a great possibility Doug will be going to the Redskins,” his source said. “I think there’s a very good chance of that.”

Williams was fired in September as the Head Coach of his alma mater at Grambling State and has been out of football since. The move makes a lot of sense though. Williams has been around the game a long time and is an icon in Washington D.C. due in part to his winning of Super Bowl XXII and the Super Bowl MVP of the same game.
