Rams discuss complete uniform change

Rams Executive Vice President of Football Operations and Chief Operating Officer Kevin Demoff says that the Rams are in the process of completely overhauling their uniforms according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch through an NFL.com article.

“I think at some time in the next five years, you’ll see a complete uniform — throwback and current uniform — change,” Demoff, the team’s executive vice president of football operations, told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch this week. “I’d be surprised if we didn’t have it”- NFL.com August 15th

It is uncertain what the new uniforms would look like from a color scheme standpoint but the signature horns will remain. With many teams making minor changes it will be interesting to see how the Rams put their spin on modern NFL uniforms.

You know, this is TYPICAL of the Rams.
    Their O line sucks.
They just traded away their main running back.
Receivers? Never heard of them = all non-impact NFL starters!
So what does the Rams front office decide to do??
“Duh, I know, lets get some NEW uniforms”… for
    our bad defense,
    our bad offense and
    our bad special teams.
    Yea, that’s it; that’s the ticket. ………NOT

At least the Broncos can claim that THEIR front office people were ALL DRUNK ! What is the Rams damage??

Thank you for your candor “B”–how brave of you to use just an initial– Scared to use your whole name like I do?
    I played football at USC;
I attended OCS. I went to Vietnam. Returned as CAPTAIN.
When I came back I played some semi pro football.
But some wimpy axxwipe named “B” he wimpers “your an idiot & you don’t know jack”
Oh, Boo hoo. Go tell your friggin’ mommy that you insulted a fu&*(C(ing football genius.
I played High School ball with QB Jim Fassel (remember HIM?, head coach @ N.Y. Giants) and Tom Fitzpatrick, fullback, California CIF player of the year 1967 68?
    I have a 54″ chest, weigh 300# and can still push the bench press 225 pounds 20 times. (NOTE: I’m 63 y/o..)

So sonny boy, you can just pound sand: I’ll match my qualifications to evaluate an NFL team vs YOUR evaluations any day.

Oh,its time to have a beer with Jets QB Mark “Sackchez” Sanchez:

    ___URP !!

P.S. Are you still living in your mommy’s basement with an aluminum foil hat on to keep the aliens from reading your mind??!!

@ Daniel Stillmunks I don’t know what the hell you are talking about the Rams o line is much improved with the off season free agent signings and the defense was ranked 11 overall last year will only be better this year and yeah the receiving core is young but very fast I expect to see some mistakes from this young group but the Rams are going to surprise a few other teams this year. Just so you know I too am a Viet Nam vet SF SOG 11-2-4 Lima I was just an enlisted man and I also played 3 years semi-pro so I know a little about football… So what did you do in the Nam sit behind a desk and sign papers all day?

The context of the story was: Rams buying new (un-necessary) UNIFORMS vs. putting $$$ into quality players.

I’m not getting into a ‘pissing contest’ as to who did what in Nam or how much football we played.

The Rams O line NEEDS to work together or need replacement of one or more linemen–ask the QB, Sam Bradford, who gets knocked to the ground!!! (Often)
WHY did the “all-knowing” Rams get rid of Steven Jackson? Their leading running back?? vs. unproven rookie(s) ??

But never mind: WHY do they NEED new uniforms? Do they think that with new unis it’ll make them ‘look better’ while they are losing?

    I gave up on the Rams a loooong time ago;
In fact 5’11” Pat Haden (too short) vs 6’1″ Vince Faragammo QB “controversy” over two inches in height differential.
(Ask 5’7″ Doug Flutie about throwing in lanes vs. just over the top.)
……..to Dieter Brock (from CFL) to
Jim Everett who “heard foot steps” and would throw himself on the ground………
…… to the Ram’s move from Anaheim, CA to St. Louis:

    GOOD RIDDANCE . we said,
“And take Georgia Frontierra with you.”

As the great debater William Jeffries once said, ‘
    “This conversation is ENDED.”

Wow, that’s an unusual burst of testosterone and chest-thumping going there…but, kids, the simple solution is to put on the navy blue/white unis when this franchise returns home to LA.

Daniel, I only half agree. the Rams Defense is Good overall. they will put pressure on the QB and should be stout against the run, and are good at Corner. Yes Safety is a question mark, but overall this is a good defense. The O line is improved over last year and yes they were dismal last year, so this could be fair at best. At Receiver they are weak at best, several receivers have some potential but no impact players will emerge this year, and they really don’t have a running back. just a hand full of untested, unproven, backups. The worst part of it all is that this team will struggle and everyone will blame the QB, the one man on this team who is Truly PRO Caliber, because he has little blocking, and no weapons.

Thank YOU for your kind remarks and your CONCISE critique of the Rams! The guy below here called me an “idiot” –anyway: This forum isn’tt for name calling: I pointed out that I was a Rams fan –I am USC grad, not a rich kid but state scholarship winner + student loan. Anyway, Pat Haden could throw the football so hard, it would break your skin open. Pat played for the Rams with J.K. McKay also from USC. We ALL gave up on the Rams when they did dunder-headed things.
    Improving the team, yes!
    Q.B. is excellent, yes !!
New uniforms, eh, uh, in my opinion–still a waste of $$$$.
