Broncos QB Peyton Manning and Redskins WR Pierre Garcon were teammates in Indianapolis from 2008 to 2011. In that time Garcon saw some of the best habits a professional athlete can display from Manning. That’s why he says he isn’t surprised that Manning has had such a successful return from his neck procedure.
“I’m not surprised,” Garcon said. “I know he works very hard to come back and he’s definitely coming back to be great, to be the top and in the best shape he can possibly be, and to throw the ball the best he can. He actually got better through the years throwing the ball. Especially from early this year to the end of this year, he’s throwing the ball better. So I’m definitely not surprised because that’s what Peyton works for.”-WahingtonPost.com
It is probably no surprise that Garcon will be rooting for his former teammate on Sunday when he faces the Seahawks in the Super Bowl.
