Two cap casualties for the Seahawks this offseason have been WR Sidney Rice and DL Red Bryant who were scheduled to make $8.5 million and $4.5 million (plus a $3 million roster bonus in mid march) respectively. HC Pete Carroll says there may be a chance there days in Seattle might not be over.

A more likely scenario is that a team will be able to offer more in return than the Seahawks in terms of monetary compensation. With several key players on contracts that will be expiring in coming years Seattle needs to be increasingly aware of their salary cap situation.
