Mike Karney on the Saints: “There’s a lot of evil in that organization.”

Former New Orleans Saints fullback Mike Karney isn’t mad that he was targeted by the Saints bounty program after he left New Orleans to play for the St. Louis Rams in 2009 and 2010.

“I’m not mad about it,” Karney told Jeff Duncan of The New Orleans Times-Picayune. “I take it as a compliment. I love it.”

Karney made it clear that the players on the Saints roster aren’t the problem.  He believes head coach Sean Payton and general manager Mickey Loomis are “evil.”

“The players weren’t the problem. (Coach) Sean Payton and (general manager) Mickey Loomis, that was the problem. I wasn’t their guy,” Karney said. “Evil does not prevail. Everything in life eventually comes back to you full circle. It brought them a Super Bowl championship. But it also brought them a lot of bad baggage. There’s a lot of evil in that organization.”

I got a feeling that Karney is right about Payton and Loomis.
