Earlier today we heard how former NFL quarterback Troy Aikman says he had no ill-effects from concussions he sustained playing football. Joe Namath, never wanting to be outdone, says concussions he suffered did cause problems for him down the line.
Via the the New York Daily News, Namath describes the problems he’s had.
“I’ve been some through some things medically,” Namath said in the excerpt, via the New York Daily News. “I’ve seen some things on my brain. But I’ve had some treatment – and I’ve improved.
“None of the body was designed to play football. Excuse me, you know, football, we’re just not designed for.”
Maybe Namath is just trying to set it up so no one questions it if he, like a bunch of his former colleagues, sues the NFL.
