First off I’m sorry about today everyone. Long day of moving wasn’t close to a computer but I am now. Here are some quick hits from today. My information comes from Raiders beat writers via Twitter and can be found on Twitter as @LeviDamien @ChrisMcClain @CorkOnTheNfl (Steve Corkran) @VicTafur @AsherMatthews @ChrisHansenNFL. I will be compiling all of their information throughout training camp. For all Raiders updates follow the writers above and Me at @sethmurphy4991.
QBs- Matt Flynn did not look sharp today. At one point he had 3 strait turnovers including 2 interceptions and a fumbled snap. Terrelle Pryor looked much sharper connecting on some beautiful TD passes. I don’t know if it’s worth keeping track of but if you are Pryor won today. Matt McGloin and Tyler Wilson didn’t get any snaps.
RB- Darren McFadden was limited at practice today with a shoulder injury. He’ll be fine no reason to throw in the towel on him yet. In his absence Rashad Jennings took first team snaps.
OL- Oakland is trying out players at a variety of positions to try to compensate for the injuries along the offensive line. Tony Bergstrom for example is getting time at first team LG and second team RT
Injuries- Two negatives and a positive. CB Tracy Porter will miss at least a week with a groin injury and TE David Ausberry will miss at least the rest of the preseason. On a positive note CB DJ Hayden shed his red non-contact jersey today and was able to go full speed. He stepped right up with the first teamers and will play against the Bears with extra chest padding.
Media- Today was the last day of full media accessibility. After today the team is getting in to a regular season type flow with a much shorter media window. I will still be able to report practice news to you but it will not be as in-depth as it has been.
