Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor is assured a roster spot going into the last preseason game of the year. A roster spot is exactly what several players around the league are playing for, however for Pryor that is not enough. He is working to start.
“Every day, I’m trying to get one percent better, and I won’t stop until I get to my goal,” Pryor said. “My goal is to be a starting quarterback, to lead this team to wins. I’ll keep pushing every day until it happens.”-Inside Bay Area
Pryor had some impressive preseason showings this year and it simply makes the most sense heading in to the season. Matt Flynn was the assumed starter heading into the season, but has simply made the mistakes that he couldn’t make. Although Pryor’s mistakes are just as frequent he may have more room to grow and he has the added ability to make plays with his feet and has an arm to make throws down the field that Flynn simply can’t. Flynn will be resting a sore shoulder this Thursday and Pryor will get the starting nod against Seattle.
