One of the reason’s the reigning Super Bowl Champions got to end their season early was due to their lack of production in the running game. The lack in production in the running game was due largely in part to injuries. Ray Rice has been banged up but it appears that Bernard Pierce could be dealing with some pretty significant injuries of his own.
Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports that Pierce went for a second opinion on his injured right shoulder on Tuesday and that the expectation is that he’ll have surgery to repair a damaged rotator cuff. The surgery has not been scheduled yet and, per the report, Pierce will have four or five months of rehab waiting for him once he does have the operation.-ProFootballTalk.com
If Pierce expects to be 100% by the time OTA’s start he needs to get his rotator cuff repaired as soon as possible.
