Tim Tebow rips Notre Dame football

Former Florida Gator and current New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow  was introduced as a member of the Florida booster board this past weekend.

During Tebow’s time at the podium he talked about being a Gator in the NFL and ripped Notre Dame along the way.

“So many guys come up to me and say, ‘What’s it like to be at the University of Florida? What’s it like to be a Gator?’ The first thing I think of is, ‘Wouldn’t you like to know.’ … I had a teammate at Denver who played the same position as me and he went to the University of Notre Dame,” said Tebow.  “He would brag about his university, how great it was. Most of us in the locker room were like, ‘C’mon, we all had opportunities. We chose not to go there.’ … But he talked so much about his university that it became easy. I’d say, ‘Your whole team had one guy who ran under a 5.0 40 [yard dash]. Our kicker ran under 5.0.’ ”

I find Tebow’s comments very funny , since he’s likely being very honest in what he said and it’s certainly true.  Teams that typically play in cold weather climates in the northern United States, typically have a harder time recruiting athletes with a lot of speed.  Premiere athletes coming out of high school prefer schools in the SEC and Pac-12.

I knew it was too good to be true for Tebow to be the saintly person he and everyone else THINKS he is. Judge not lest ye be judged? Seems he cannot even follow the good words of The Book he professes to believe in. I wish Mr. Tebow a lifetime of NFL Sundays flat on his back, right where he belongs. There are a thousand reasons to hate Notre Dame but this is hypocrisy. Notre Dame is a special place but I have to also agree that there are other special colleges as well. If you haven’t walked the campus of Notre Dame and if you don’t know the history, don’t slam the Irish. I’m a Notre Dame fan and I approved this message.
