Bills GM Doug Whaley spoke with media Friday touching on several topics. One of which was the future of DT Marcell Dareus.
“It’s on our radar, but right now we prioritize things,” said Whaley. “With this system there’s a lot of things you want to get done. There’s a lot of things you can’t get done because of the cap situation. Limitations from the cap, not our cap situation. I believe our cap situation we can get done what we need to get done, but you won’t get done the laundry list of things that you want to get done.”-BuffaloBills.com
Dareus was the third overall pick in the 2011 draft and has been a valuable asset to the team but has a year left before he is a free agent. The contracts expiring in March are most likely the higher priorities Whaley is referring to.
