With the Indianapolis Colts likely switching to a 3-4 defense with the hiring of former Steelers linebackers coach Keith Butler as their new defensive coordinator, look for defensive end Dwight Freeney to likely get traded or released sometime during the offseason.
Since Freeney will be going into the final year of his current contract, if the Colts decide to trade or release him, they would save a lot of money under the cap because there wouldn’t be a signing bonus acceleration during the final year of his deal.
The 31 year-old Freeney will likely be playing in a different in 2012.

Jets lol
They did need a pass rusher and a passer lets scrap indys team lol
Not sure he can play end in the 3-4 defense, but if he can, I’d like to see him in the Green and Gold. The Packers need a speed end to compliment Clay Matthews. If Ted Thompson would spend some of that season ticket holder money he has, the Pack could be back in the Super Bowl next year.
I think he would be a great fit for the N.O Saints. C’mon Dwight
What better fit than the Chicago Bears!! Peppers on on side Freeney on the other! Lets gooooo!
